Sri Lankan Navy today (09, August), facilitated the repatriation of 02 Sri Lankan fishermen arrested by the Indian Coast Guard for trespassing into Indian territorial waters.

Sri Lanka Navy rendered assistance to 6 fishermen on a distressed multiday fishing trawler, ‘Dinu Putha’. The rescued fishermen were brought to the Hambantota harbour, onboard SLNS Sagara this morning (09, August).

A suspect nabbed with 2 kg of Kerala cannabis
On receipt of an intelligence tip-off to the Navy, naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command together with the Police Special Task Force, Puttalam nabbed a suspect with 2 kg of Kerala cannabis, during a search conducted in Nedunkulam locality in Puttalam, yesterday (08, August).
